Welcome from the Chief Executive

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Nottinghamshire County Council Senior Leadership Careers pages.

I am proud to call Nottinghamshire my home and I feel very privileged to lead the organisation at such an important point in the future of local government.

Our Members have set out a vision and their aspirations for Nottinghamshire in The Nottinghamshire Plan. This long-term plan provides direction to senior officers, our whole workforce and our partners to deliver on the priorities we have set out in our plan. We are a good Council providing leadership to our place and our system, grounded in achieving better outcomes for the people of the County.

My personal commitment is to deliver a healthy, prosperous, and greener future for the people of Nottinghamshire, and along with my Corporate Leadership Team, we are excited at the prospect to add to our strong team by recruiting to these important and senior roles in the organisation.

We are continuing to provide a combination of directly delivered and commissioned services, designed to give our children the best start in life and support adults to live the lives they want to lead.

We are also investing in inclusive growth and improving living standards and the health and wellbeing of our communities through working as a Constituent Member of our newly-established East Midlands Combined County Authority, the first of its kind in the Country. With such strong partnerships and a spirit of collaboration across our District and Borough, health, Police and Fire & Rescue services, we are creating the conditions for public service reform.

Our plans are ambitious and to achieve them will require excellent leaders who can help steward the organisation and the system for the benefit of our residents and businesses now and into the future.
