Do you have acumen to successfully operate in a politically dynamic, highly complex and cross cutting environment? If you have, we have an exciting opportunity for you to lead our ICT service which is fit for purpose to support Council to deliver services to its customers, suppliers, partners and citizens.
Our ICT services currently support Circa 7,000 office-based workers in multiple sites, with more than 600 systems and applications. A significant proportion of our users are assisted to work flexibly from their home, in transit or, with our residents. The demand for our ICT support is increasing and, as public services become more joined up around the needs of users.
You will provide strategic lead to develop an ICT service which increases organisational confidence in the use of technology and have a focus on developing the competencies, systems and infrastructure to respond effectively to the digital era. You will be responsible for the Council’s ICT functions which include architecture and infrastructure, innovation and design, governance and compliance, development and operation and customer support and enablement.
You will play a critical role in setting the technical direction for the organisation, driving operational and strategic digital transformation including AI, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. You will lead a diverse team, work collaboratively with key stakeholders, and ensure our digital systems are resilient, forward-thinking, and compliant with industry standards.
In addition to your salary you will receive a Market Factor Supplement £11,104 per annum.
